WHAT Ventolin SOLUTION AND WHAT IT IS USED?
Salbutamol belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators. Bronhodilatagorite relaxes the muscles in the walls of the small airways in the lungs, thereby leading to their expansion. Ventolin solution:
• it helps the airways in your lungs open and remain open, which facilitates your breathing.
• helps to relieve chest tightness, wheezing and coughing associated with asthma.
Ventolin solution is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 4 to 11 years years to treat breathing problems in people with asthma and other lung diseases. Its effect includes relieve and prevent asthma symptoms caused by physical exertion or other reasons. Common causes are dust mites, pollen, cats, dogs and cigarette smoke.
Usually applied to overcome the severe forms of the disease – for treatment of severe bouts of asthma when the intake of salbutamol in another formulation does not improve the condition.
The effect of Ventolin solution lasts between 4 and 6 hours.
Ventolin solution should only be administered by inhalation with a nebulizer and should not be injected or swallowed.
2. BEFORE YOU USE Ventolin SOLUTION
DO NOT use Ventolin Solution
– If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to salbutamol or any of the other ingredients of Ventolin solution.
Take special care with Ventolin Solution
• you have high blood pressure
• have an overactive thyroid
• you have previously had heart problems such as irregular or rapid heart beat or angina (chest pain)
• have low levels of potassium in the blood
• taking xanthine derivatives (such as theophylline) or steroids to treat asthma
• taking a diuretic, which is sometimes used to treat high blood pressure or heart disease.
If you are taking any of the above drugs. Your doctor will monitor the level of potassium in your blood.
Consult your doctor if you think any of the following may apply to you.
• are diabetic.
• Use nebulizarani anticholinergics (ipratropium bromide) and well salbutamol. Beware the fine mist spraying does not fall in your eyes (see section 7)
• Take this medicine to relieve fever and stuffy nose (such as ephedrine or pseudoephedrine) or other medicines for the treatment of asthma.
Conditions you need to track
In rare cases, high doses of Ventolin solution can cause a condition called lactic acidosis. During taking Ventolin solution should watch for symptoms associated with this condition (see Conditions you need to look out in Section 4 of this leaflet).
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, or start taking new ones, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Some medicines can affect the way you act Ventolin solution or increase the risk of side effects. These include:
• Beta-blockers such as propranolol, used to treat high blood pressure or heart disease.
• Monoamine oxidase (MAO) used to treat depression.
Your doctor will decide whether you should take Ventolin solution to these drugs.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ventolin solution is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, you think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, do not take Ventolin solution before you have consulted with your doctor. Your doctor will assess the expected benefit to you against the possible risks to your baby while taking solution during pregnancy.
It is not known whether the ingredients of Ventolin solution pass into breast milk. If you are nursing, you should consult with your doctor before taking Ventolin solution.
3. HOW TO USE Ventolin SOLUTION?
How much to take?
Intermittent treatment (irregular intake of small doses if necessary):
Intermittent treatment may be applied up to four times daily.
Mature
• The usual starting dose is 0,5 ml to I ml (2,5 – 5 mg of salbutamol)
• Some patients may require a dose to 2 ml (10 mg of salbutamol)
Children aged 4 to 11 years
• The usual starting dose is 0,5 ml (2,5 mg salbutamol)
• Some patients may require a dose to I ml (5 mg of salbutamol)
Children older than 12 years: the dose as in adults.
Prolonged periods of inhalation:
• The usual dose is I mg to 2 mg Ventolin Solution for hours. 1 mg dose is achieved by dilution of 1 ml of Ventolin solution with sterile saline solution to 100 ml. Dose of 2 mg is achieved by dilution of 2 ml of Ventolin solution with sterile saline to 100 ml.
How to use Ventolin solution?
Ventolin solution should not be injected or absorbed
• Remember: Ventolin solution must be inhaled through the mouth using a device called a nebulizer and should not be injected or swallowed. The nebulizer converts the drug into an aerosol that is inhaled through a breathing mask or mouthpiece.
• Be careful or solution formed by the nebulizer aerosol into their eyes.
• The nebulizer should be used in rooms with good ventilation, as part of the aerosol could fall in the air and inhaled by others.
Carefully follow the instructions for use referred to in paragraph 7.
If you forget to take Ventolin Solution
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Inhale the next dose when it is time for this or sooner if you experience wheezing or develop other symptoms of asthma.
If you take more dose Vsntolnn solution
If you take too high a dose Ventolin solution, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. If possible, show them the pack of Ventolin solution.
Do not stop taking Ventolin solution without medical advice
Take Ventolin solution as long as you recommend your doctor. Keep taking until the doctor tells you to stop.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
If your breathing or wheezing gets worse immediately after taking this medicine, stop using it and contact your doctor as soon as possible.
Like all medicines, Ventolin solution can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Conditions you need to track:
Allergic reactions: they are very rare in people taking Ventolin solution. Signs include:
– Skin rash (urticaria), redness or swelling, sometimes of the face or mouth (angioedema), wheezing, cough or difficulty breathing
– Suddenly feeling weak or light-headed (which may lead to collapse or loss of consciousness)
Immediately call your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Stop taking Ventolin solution.
Lactic acidosis: increase the amount of lactic acid in the blood (lactic acidosis) is a very rare side effect of Ventolin solution. This most often affects people with severe kidney disease. Symptoms of lactic acidosis include:
• rapid breathing, shortness of breath
• feeling cold
• stomach pain, nausea and vomiting.
Immediately contact a doctor if you experience these symptoms. Stop taking Ventolin solution.
Common side effects
These may affect up to 1 in 10 people:
• shaking
• headache
• rapid heartbeat.
Uncommon side effects
These may affect up to 1 in 100 people:
• irregular heart beat (palpitations)
• irritation in the mouth and throat
• muscle spasms.
Rare side effects
They may affect up to 1 in 1000 people:
• low level of potassium in your blood
• increased blood flow to your extremities (blood vessels).
Very rare side effects
They may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people:
• allergic reactions
• unusual activity, such as anxiety and agitation.

Very rare side effects that may show up in blood tests. They may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people:
• lactic acidosis

5. HOW TO STORE Ventolin SOLUTION?
Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 25 ° C. Keep away from direct light.
Unused quantities nebuliser should be discarded.
The residue of the drug in the package should not be used if it is more than I month after first opening the bottle.
Do not use Ventolin solution after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What Ventolin solution?
The active substance salbutamol (as sulfate). Each 1 ml of the solution contains 5 mg of salbutamol in the form of salbutamol sulphate.
The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride, dilute sulfuric acid and purified Eyuda Ventolin solution looks like and contents of the pack
Ventolin solution is a solution which, prior to inhalation is pulverized in a device called nebulizagor. Each pack Ventolin solution containing glass bottle is 20 ml.
7. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
How to use Ventolin solution?
1. Prepare the nebulizer for filling
2. Measure the correct amount Ventolin solution and put it in the nebuliser
3. Add the correct amount of sterile saline. For the dilution of the solution use only sterile saline.
4. Put the lid of the nebulizer and shake gently to mix the contents.
5. Assemble the nebuliser and use it according to its instructions for use.
6. After use, dispose of unused quantities of the solution remaining in the nebulizer. Clean the nebulizer as recommended in the instructions for its use.

Dilution
Ventolin solution was diluted with sterile saline to a concentration of 50 to 100 microgram salbutamol per milliliter (I to 2 ml solution Ventolin diluted to 100 ml with diluent). The diluted solution is administered as an aerosol through an appropriate nebulizagor. Usually applied 1 to 2 mg per hour.
